Piton de la Fournaise
The Piton de la Fournaise is a "Basaltic Shield Volcano" which means it extrude generally very hot and fluid lava. It is one of the most active volcanos on earth, only the hawaiian one is considered more active.
The volcano rises 2.631 metres out of the ocean. It's build partially upon an older, inactive volcano, the Piton de Neiges, located west of la Fournaise.
